WW - Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust "Ovettone," ref 6105, circa 1952, 36mm x 44mm to lug tips, 20mm lug width, original 18K yellow gold screw back Oyster case with fixed fluted bezel, 18K yellow gold Jubilee bracelet signed Rolex, refinished silvered dial with applied gold indices, red date wheel, 18J, s#752741, triple signed, inside back ref 6105. Gross weight of assembled watch without bracelet 32.2 dwt (50.1 g). Gross weight of 18K gold Jubilee bracelet by itself 34.1 dwt (53.0 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, very light oxide to steelwork, light discoloration to plates, light wear to brass on high edge of rotor; refinished dial has started to turn and appears a creamy color in person with perimeter in white making the dial look two-tone, light surface spotting most notably along perimeter; excellent gold alpha hands; polished case shows light wear, rounded lugs, case back has had engraving removed making it quite thin, numerous small dings on the case back as well on the backs of the lugs from being worn on a bracelet; original signed Super Oyster crown shows very little wear, no threads; good plastic crystal; resealed for auction.
